About the studio

A PLACE TO DISCOVER, DEVELOP, AND SHARE

Rich Music Studios is a privately owned and operated vocal and performance school and demo recording studio located in Lehi, UT. It was founded by Josh and Lindsey Rich with a goal to provide a positive, safe, and challenging learning environment.

Ultimately, it is our hope that students leave Rich Music Studios better, more capable people than when they arrived — with a love, excitement, and confidence for singing and performing that they can carry with them and share throughout their lives.

Our team

Who you'll learn from

Josh Rich

Owner, Lead Instructor & Recording Engineer

Josh has taught voice, performed, and written music for over 22 years. He holds a BM in Media Music Studies from BYU and was a member of the 2006 International Champion collegiate a cappella group, BYU's Vocal Point. He has performed in productions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including Savior of the World (Apostle John) and the Nauvoo Pageant (Hyrum Smith), and has helped arrange music and coach performers for international broadcasts and other events.

Adrien Swenson

Instructor

Adrien has performed across the country in theater, concert, film, radio, and voiceover. She appeared on the National Broadway Tour of Finding Neverland and performed nine seasons with Michael McLean as Connie in Forgotten Carols. Favorite roles include Narrator (Joseph), Grizabella (Cats), Amneris (Aida), Judy (9 to 5), and Kala (Disney's Tarzan). She holds a degree in Acting/Directing from Southern Utah University and trained with Seth Riggs.

Aubrey Taylor

Instructor

Aubrey trained in classical and contemporary voice and studied media music and vocal performance at Snow College. She served a mission in Bulgaria translating and recording hymns and youth music, earned her bachelor's from BYU, and sang with the a cappella group Beyond Measure. Most recently she played Fiona in Shrek the Musical. She also holds a Master's in Education and works as a School Psychologist.

Student expectations

What we ask of our students

Practice

4-5 times per week for 30-60 minutes.

Be Prepared

Arrive on time with sheet music, lyrics, and tracks.

Work Hard

Try new techniques, stay engaged, and give your best effort.

Perform

Attend scheduled recitals and perform at least once outside the recital each semester.

Take Ownership

Students who are self-motivated and apply what they learn find the most success and enjoyment.

Tuition

Registration Fee

$50

annually

Due at the beginning of fall semester for accepted students
Reserves your spot
Covers rehearsal tracks and supplies

Registered Student Tuition

$150

monthly

Three 30-minute private lessons
One mandatory 90-minute master class
One recital each semester
Some months prorated for shortened or longer schedules

Non-Registered Students

$50 for a 30-minute lesson
$90 for a 60-minute lesson
Single or short-term lessons available

Payment

Tuition is due by the first lesson each month. Master classes are mandatory. Pay with cash, card, check, or Venmo @richmusicstudios. Please make checks payable to Joshua Rich.

Missed Lessons

Missing a lesson without notification is non-refundable. For schedule conflicts, it is the student's responsibility to contact another student to switch lesson times (contact list provided) and notify Lindsey 24 hours prior. If you cannot switch but notified Lindsey 24 hours prior, you may submit a makeup lesson request.

Emergencies & Sickness

For personal emergencies (sickness, deaths, or other unforeseen events), notify Lindsey before the start of the lesson (24 hours when possible) and submit a makeup lesson request. A maximum of two makeup lessons per semester are allowed. Students who feel sick should not attend in person but may request a virtual or makeup lesson.
